Has anyone imported their Subaru using an import company?
Hi
I have been told by WRX.co.uk (an import company) that they can get the car I want and their stock of cars look very good. But I'd have to pay a £500 deposit to secure the order. However I'm a bit weary of this - has anyone else done this or used this company or can recommend any others? I've emailed SVA imports twice but had no reply.
Ideally I'd like to get the car I'm about to buy professionally inspected before I part with any money.
If a Subaru has piston slap (which I know normally lasts only while the car is cold) SHOULD this be fixed under warranty if I buy from a trader or import company? I have been told that piston slap is normal on ALL version 3/4 cars, so they are implying it would not be fixed under warranty as this is a normal characteristic of the Impreza. Although I have read in numerous places that piston slap should be fixed under warranty. So all this seems pretty confusing.
What does anyone else think?
