I have just upgraded my 96 P UK Turbo for a 51 2001 UK300. The UK300 has a huge de-cat exhaust system. Due To the de-cat should the orange engine managment light come on the dash or not?

We've got a decat on our 02 WRX and our engine management light comes on occasionally. When it got checked by Subaru they said it was because of the decat system. The engine management system looks for the sensor in the cat and as it hasn't got one thinks there is a problem.
