Default Digital camcorder equipment

I am preping for a trip to le mans to watch the 24 hour. (a little early I know)

Im going with three bikers who have suggested doing some footage from the car.

Can anyone suggest a good camcorder that is compatable to link external cameras to it and more to the point a attachment for the main camcorder to inside windscreen?

Where to get them from and how much?

Many thanks.

You want to record several video streams at the same time, or just want to feed the external camera in to an onboard recorder/camcorder?

Any camcorder with AV-In should be sufficent (not to be confused with DV-IN, which is also useful but not essential). Go for a Mini-DV format for easier digital editing, but avoid Micro-DV because the raw MPEG2 is harder to process.

For a remote camera, see RF Concepts.

For screen mounts see B. Hague.

Have a browse around both sites for lots of ideas and info.

I will be feeding into the main onboard camera and using a switch to record from one camera at a time.
