Accident damage update!!

Don't know if anyone will remember but i recently had a run in with a kerb after falling asleep coming home from a long night shift! Initially i panicked thinking it was going to cost a fortune but i think i might have fallen lucky!
Looking at the car it seems the wheels are in fact in the right place, not pushed back as originally thought! The alloys on the offside are ruined though it looks like a hard clip rather than a full on whack as both are only damaged to the outer part of the rim. New alloys there then!
However my anti-lock light is on in the car and although it still stops (tried it on my car park area at house) it's obvious there's no ABS. What could have caused this, any ideas? Was it the impact or has something broken? I did brake heavily moments before impact. Any help gratefully accepted!!

IMO get the car 4 wheel aligned. That'll tell you whether anything's bent. It would be unusual if something hasn't... Might save you in tyres in the longer term.

If the night shift was that long (i.e. longer than usual) you should have asked your employer to get you a taxi home. There are no excuses. Whilst I'm not particularly in favour of us adopting the European working time directives it seems that is some cases they may do some good.

I dont know what he meant by a long night shift, but i work regular nights. They are all LONG, and if you have had a hectic night they can feel even longer.
I know for a fact if i asked my employer to get me a taxi home because i had a busy night, they would not be too impressed.
