Default MAGNEX BACKBOX - ANY GOOD?

Comments please on what the Magnex backbox (3.5" round) is like in terms of noise? I have a classic with the standard exhaust system apart from an "STi" stamped bb off one of the early P1s, so you can imagine it's not that loud.
I know there are better buys than the Magnex but I can get 50 notes off (vchs). I did consider just replacing the o/e cs for a Magnex straight-through but not sure if it's worth bothering?

Danke.

Got magnex back box & centre. Nice scooby sound without caving your head in. Excellent quality as well.

i'v just had a full magnex system installed it has 6" oval and sounds superb, its got the lovely growly burble but does'nt completely deafen you on motorway jorneys, the full de-cat along with a new k & n air filter have made a huge difference to the mid-range grunt im really pleased with it.

Yeh theyre quality boxes. I had an 6X4 oval one on a MY99 which was quiet but not too quiet. Ive got the same on a MY00 now and its alot throatier/louder

Yeah, I have to agree with everyone else. sounds good, not over loud when cruising but comes to life when you press the go faster peddle. I have the full system on mine (6x4).

I think I paid £225 for the BB, £129 for center and £195 for down pipe, all from Demon Tweeks.

But, I'd wished I gone for something louder perhaps a Blitz or 5Zigen 3" system. but live and learn

OK, not a scoob, but there was a full magnex system on my VTS when I got it and it snapped in two! Other than that it was great.. lol.. it did sound better than the Jetex I replaced it with though.

i got a full magnex 6" oval bb, sounds amazing on accelleration.
i find on motorway trips at 70-80mph it starts to get a bit annoying but at 95 its almost silent.
(not that i go that fast)

Go for an afterburner vortex from scoobyworld, they do make great exhausts!

Brilliant mate, i've got the 6'' oval backbox and centre section.Sounds fantastic without making your head spin or your ears bleed. With it on my standard '95 Classic import WRX is making 270bhp.Rolling road confirmed.

The quality of them is superb too.
