Angry Aaargh !!!

Anyone know where I can get a can of paint mixed up that are professional that will get a good match.

Reason I ask is after hours of battling to get off side skirts etc i am all primed and ready to go but the paint Halfords have mixed me is Grass Green!!!!! not Mica Green! I did expect maybe a slight shade variation it's not even near. Can't put them back on grey primer coloured so I need help!!!

Cheers Guys

Tony

Tony

You need to deal with a local vehicle paint suppliers. I did a search and spoke to local bodyshop they put me onto a small specialist supplier who matched me up in aerosol and job was a good un.

Other option for decent job is just take the skirts to your local bodyshop and do a deal

I did consider taking them to a bodyshop but wanted to save a bit of cash. I heard halfords were quite good but unfortunately found out the hard way!!!

Just wondered if anyone had a phone number for someone they had dealt with before?

may sound stupid but did halfords definately have the right colour, i got a touch up on tuesday, paint code was 51E (white), however there were 2 entries for 51E on their system, one had a small amount of dark blue in, one had a pale yellow instead.

luckily i chose the right one and mine is virtuallly spot on, however it was only because i was being nosey and chatting to the guy i spotted the two entries on the computer screen, even though he did not.

as you can see, they can get it right ......sometimes.

you will find that painting plastic will give a different shade to metal. Useing different pressures in a spray gun can affect the colour as well.
You should be able to find a local supplier to mix paint i live in a small town and know of two that supply it. As said b4 be careful as there may be different variations on a paint code.

www.paints4u.com, they will put any colour in an aerosol or make up chip sticks etc... good match and fast service. I got red mica and black mica from them, both really good.
