Default Schoolkids/Chavvies....WOW

Just drove past a station to gain access to my work car park.

Bunch of mixed kids all looking at me, shouting "wicked car mate" "what will she do?"

Just wondering does anybody here actually enjoy this attention, or do you cringe and turn red like me.

Round here they normally inform me in their stoopid gangsta speak that their £80 Nova can out-perform a scoob.

Just had some to$$er in a pink corsa try it on with me not 10 minutes ago while I was in the wifes Cooper Works. Thing is, I'd spotted the unmarked police vehicle behind him

Was at a Locost meet last weekend. Said chav walks behind the Locost, and says 'I bet thats quick innit, quick acceleration!', owner says sarcastically 'Yeh, I reached 30mph once!', sed chav replies 'ahh thats well cool'.

Didnt stop laughin for 10 minutes!!

I addmitedly used to blow away all the lads in their sheds, about a year ago when i first started driving performance cars, trying to show them up..etc

Then realised (probably through growing up a little myself i must admit), that you actually show them up more if you pull off slow as can be, while they tear up their remoulds.

And I got a wave coz I work at the same station. Chav was looking utterly horrified when I sauntered past.

i find the people, adults and kids alike give loads of attention but 99% of the time its appreciation, grinning, nodding and pointing.

i dont bother with chavs in their novas but do look for porsches and tvr s, after a quick blast with them, normally slow down and appreciate the others car.

grinnng and nodding is great, but when your stuck in a line of traffic with your window open, when kids start leaning in and talking sh!te, just winds me up, being quite a shy person does not help matters.

Im not having a pop at all kids by any means..just the stupid ones... I have a five year old son who loves scoobies now and reckons he is saving up for one. Just for those of you who might think i was anti-kid.

The 'pretending u can't see them' approach works well too but u do need 2 b strong-willed enough not even 2 glance in their direction at lights etc. (works best if they're beside u)!
The more they rev & ping back & forwards as they attempt to hold it on the clutch (usually failing miserably!) the more u yawn, inspect your fingernails, start having a pointless conversation with your passenger etc.
By refusing 2 even acknowledge their presence u r crushing them completely!

Can b just as guilty myself though!
Yesterday, we spotted a particularly lovely Aston Martin & while I gawped & grinned inanely at poor driver, 11 yr old daughter bounced up & down in STi squeaking "I want that car, I want that car" over & over, whilst waving & badgering me 2 'follow him & see where he goes'!

Not with the sccob but we were parked up once in the RX8 with the window down as 2 lads went past.
One admired the car but his mate reliably informed him "Yeah but my...whatever it was... could burn it off no problem 'cos them RX8's r big & heavy but they've only got a tiny little 1.3 engine in them!"

I think i know that chap. There cant possibly be two of them.

Possibly belonging to the same clan in Romford, revving up next to me at the lights in their heavily de-restricted 50 cc Scooters.

What do those "little" 1.3 put out again?

231bhp if I remember correctly, which doesn't sound much but if you're used 2 driving one & don't try & drive it like a 'normal' car, once it's up 2 speed, most people would have a job shifting u from their backside, especially if the road is bendy!

Don't shed 2 many tears, u probably would've got bored with it after a while, other half did! (Even tho it is a great car!?!)
It wasn't particularly quick from the off, was monstrous 2 park, glugged down oil & petrol like it was going out of fashion & it whitelined something chronic, u really had to heave it out of the lorry ruts on the motorway!
Swapped it 4 a new STi, which handles just as well, if not better & is probably actually cheaper 2 run generally as an everyday car!

Barry boys, chavs, whatever, they are everywhere.

Saw a two tone Mondeo the other day. Red and white, with fully RS body kit on the bottom (in white), and Scoobie stuck on bits on the top. I would normally say that he needed a girlfriend, but he had one She wasn't even ugly either

up in Glasgow we have many "chavs" although they are locally known as "Neds".

Have to agree with the above comment that many of the girls are fit, makes me sad sometimes!

just thought I would share that with you...lol

Was out today tidying the drive/front garden/garage when this circa 15 year old oik rides past, ciggie hanging out his gob, gets to the top of the road and rides back. Now while I had spotted him I hadn't clicked that he was talking to me until he drew up right besides me. Conversation goes like this:

Him to me: "I'll give you a tenner for your car".
Me to him: "Give me 2000 more and its yours".
Silence, while he tries to work that one out, then,
Him to me " I just love that car, two tenners for it"
I'm busy, and getting a little fcuked off with this ****** taking my time.
I carry on what I'm doing, then he goes:
"Got a dump valve mate?"
Me to him "Dunno", ie **** off ******.
Him to me "Turbo and dump valve's got to be worth at least 500bhp"!

At that moment my mate turns up to give us a hand with taking stuff into the garage. ****** pedals off, pointless conversation ends. Never been so glad to see a mate.

Now while I don't have a problem with kids being genuinely interested in cars I just don't go a bundle over the thicko ones who treat you as if you are their long lost pal when you don't even know the pillocks, come out with a load of complete bollox, and above all don't listen and can't speak properly.

Absolutely no idea what today's youth (or should that be yoof in street speak) is coming to. Ah well....at least te sun was shining.
