help needed with 18" rims
Can anyone help me with a big favour -
I'm having some vibration type issues with the 18" RSGTs I currently own, plus there appearance is quite shoddy - I'm considering replacing them....
However, I need to be sure that the vibration problems will go away (I'm fairly certain its the plastic spigot rings)....
To this end, I'd like to find someone within a reasonable distance who'll allow me to fit their 18s to my car, and for me to use them to drive at 60mph for 500 yards to prove that the car is OK. Then I can buy some with confidence...
I know its an unusual request, but these wheels have been nowt but grief !!!!
I'm in North Staffordshire -
Thanks,
Mark

twice in the last week ! - In fact I had demon tweeks re-balance all 4 wheels and replace the spigots today - I think that something is wrong with the front spigots....
I have 56.1 mm spigots all round, but, whilst the rear ones seem to be a snug fit, the fronts are too large - but all the web pages I've found with spigot sizes seem to suggest that 56.1 is correct - Any ideas ?
Mark
Update on the above - it looks like 56.1mm is right - BUT, the hub doesn't come out beyond the disks much and the inner chamfer on the spigot is stopping the contact - the part of the hub that the ring does sit on is 55mm..... Looks like I need to find non-chamfered spigots ?
