Exclamation SEARCH disabled for a while

Hi Folks,

Due to recent server load issues and the speed of the site during peak times, we are currently looking at what is causing it. One of the possibilities is the search facility which is very CPU intensive. Until we have verified whether or not this is actually contributing to the problem we have had to remove this feature for registered members. The facility still exists for SNPLUS members, but please do not think this is a way for us to get people to upgrade. Registered members should have full search facilities back as soon as possible.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Regards,
Shaun.

Thanks for looking into the causes of what is troubling the site.

I hope you manage to locate the problem soon.

Not counting any chickens yet, but the search facility will be off for at least 24-48hrs.

Regards,
Shaun.

Nope.... but since I have more moans about the Search facility I decided to weigh up the pro's and con's of the moaning and decided to take a logical approach!
