Advice for viewing Impreza

He he i'm a car stalker!!!
seriously, I just wanted to get the right car for my first scooby - as i said, i've waited a long time so I want to get exactly what i've always wanted!
Mmmmm sonic seems not to have posted since some time in 2000, methinks my PM has gone nowhere.
Oh well, the car i'm looking at tomorrow is nearly identical ;-) (Although it's 200+ miles away) :-(

As i said the one i'm looking at tomorrow looks very similar, hopefully there's no problems with it.
Any advice on what to look for when viewing your first impreza - I know a bit about 'em and am kind of mechanically minded (I did lots of engine work on my old 205 gti).
Any tell tale signs I need to look for under the bonnet/elsewhere?
