03 WRX - Good Price?
Saw an 03 WRX today, UK model with 27k miles, Full Leather, STi Spoiler, Sti Wheels in pretty damn good condition apart from a couple of chips heare and there £15995. This is at a Jag dealership, what do you think? also what is the service interval for this car? and when is the cam belt due.
Can anyone give me some tips on getting some cash off? thing is its got a magnex backbox, dont know if its a full system which would effectively void any remaining warranty - could I get some money knocked off for that and bang a prodrive b/box and keep the remainder of the warranty?
Could anyone tell me the exact insurance group of the WRX also, is it 17 or 19?
Does anyone know what insurance group the Honda S2000 is?
Sorry about all the questions, I just need to make some decisions quickly!
Why is water wet!!!!! ................sorry
Daz.

Private you could probably find one with similar spec for between £13-14k, maybe even with PPP. As regards the value of the spec, STi wheels can be had for around £400, replica STi spoilers another £400, the leather will probably have been the SL pack from new which used to add £1500 to the list. On 27k it's not far off the 30k service which is a biggie at around £450-600+vat, but the cambelt isn't due until 60k IIRC. The price seems about right for a car dealer, if they're offering warranty and finance, but you could get a newer WRX for the same money private, or even an 03 STi for not much more.

Yep lots of cars out there. If I was looking now I'd be looking for 2nd hand sti. In fact I'm starting to think with the mods I would like to do to my wrx it might be a more sensible option.

I think Ian Litchfield has imports for a good price and people seem to say good things about Alliance who have banners on here. I believe you can get a wrx sub £16,000 but savings aren't as good for STI's.

A WRX PPP on an 03 is £13.5- £14k in Autotrader. As it will still be under warranty I wouldn't pay the additional £2k dealers want. These are cars with 18-27k miles too. Look elsewhere.....IMHO

Yep look around buyers market etc. Do your research first. Some dealers are very knowledgeable about the cars and many aren't - so don't always take as gospel wot they tell you. Ask to see relevant paperwork and receipts for mods to the car if they have them.

I think 18K from wheelwright sounds better. 22 thousand miles on the clock aint nuffink. I quite fancy it myself, but dread to think what I would get for my wrx currently. Wot's your next car then wheelwright???

Good grief. My Mrs thinks I'm a complete tw@t for having the car I've got. Left to her own devices I'd be in a Zafira by now although she quite likes Fiats - particularly red ones!!

It did feel different driving it back from the tyre fitters, but due to new tyres and no idea what pressure they put in it was a steady drive.
