Talking What car to buy next ??? PX ??

Thinking of selling my STi Ra as i need the funds for my next property development.

The question is What to buy for 3-4k which must have 0-60 in less than 7 seconds and will keep the missus happy when driving the little monster around (Nah really an angel , When hes asleep ) and me happy for the blasts out and 1/4 mlies at the pod etc

The cars so far are : -

Clio 16V
Fiat 20VT
Pug GTi-6

Any information or additional cars , please add

Heres the Ra if anybody wants to offer a px plus £££

Sorry mate, i havent got one, but from what ive heard on this site you can pick them up very cheaply now, especially if your a bit handy and can do some repairs etc,

Then again if i had 3 grand to spend i might be tempted to buy myself a sierra cossie

Wicked fun. rear wheel drive 220 bhp,

Well, none of the car's you mention will do 0-60 in less than 6 seconds.

Out of the 3 though, I'd go for the GTI-6. Clio's of that year just have the crapest interiors ever. Fiat 20vt?
If it's out right fun your after, try a 106GTI, though they are a little small.

This will probably make you shudder (it does me), but I seriously considered buying a Rover 220 turbo coupe a couple of years ago.

Cheap as chips to buy, definately the cheapest 140MPH car on the market.

Rover VI - pretty rare, but dirt cheap and 30-70 will beat an escort cossie.

In the end I went for a GTI6 just more refined, better maintained and cleaner cars.

i now own a vx220 but my first car was a 1.8 clio 16v. They are ok but mine did a clutch 2 yes 2 gear boxes, all usual electrical problems from immobiliser to rotary arm, leads. The good thing is though now they are old they are cheap to repair, lots of dogs though. Be aware of rotten rear arches, never write again.
