Yeah, it was bloody hot out there today and yesterday!!
I was so chuffed with that time I ran yesterday, couldn't believe the printout!!
Also ran against the PACE show car with the combi chargecooler in it!!! Lets just say I crossed the line first!!! Hehe

Had to stop yesterday though Because when i slammed her into 2nd gear, it was a bit spluttery!!! Didnt no what that was as i'm a new scooby owner. Any ideas anyone???

Top day, Pauls time was great (even in that heat), Gutted for the jet car people though.

All in all I think the Scoobs put up a very good show, not that I am biased

Mmm... jet car

Does anyone know what went wrong? I was near the start line, all I saw was a bit of bodywork fly up in the air.

Seconds beforehand:

was dissapointed with my times today (and yesterday) but that was purely down to the heat, my 60ft best time was 1.806, but i was crossing the line a full 7mph slower than i did at rotorstock......hence a 13.79 instead of 13.36 at RS...

Well done Paul you ran consistent low times all day unlike most of the other Pro cars. I don't think you have got anything to be ashamed of getting knocked out by the CRD 1000+ bhp Supra that ran a 10.01 against you.

All I can say is it was bloody hot queing up to run, it was so hot that my front bumper distorted with the heat from the sun and the engines

Best run I done in my Purple Scooby was 13.07 at 107mph, every run I could only get 1.34 bar boost, it normally runs 1.6 bar on a cool day.

The white classic with no rear spoiler is the Calder Racing demo car - it's on the TOTB DVD and is quite a monster!

Yeah what a cracking day it was.

Great to see what some of those highly modified scoobs can do.

Anyone on here own the Grey wagon with the black Anthracite wheels,
man that went well !
