I SEEM TO HAVE A FRONT SPOILER THAT IS COMING LOOSE. DEALER SAYS HE'S HAD ONE OR TWO OTHERS COMPLAINING. GONNA SEE WHAT HE CAN DO ON MONDAY BUT SEEMS TO THINK THAT THEY ARE HELD ON BY PLASTIC CLIPS. ANYBODY ELSE HAD SIMILAR PROBLEMS?

CHEERS, PHIL

Yes, my Caps Lock key jammed once before, I think it was some toast crumbs under the keyboard.

Yep, the two underneath the car are crap and have been replaced with plastic screws (number plate fixing screws). I've also had problems with the two that are on the wheel arches but only after bumping a bunny and also after hitting a rather tall speed bump { that spoiler is a little bit too low }

The only problem I've had with mine is the bloody alarm/central locking going on strike three times. Couldn't get the driver's door open at one point.

Oh, and the centre console creaks on hot days. As you boys say, not what you'd expect from a 31k motor.

Acker, I've also grounded the spoiler a couple of times, but only minor. The worst thing is the bloody creaking noise from the front end which is getting worse. Pretty poor for such an expensive motor. Though before the STi brigade start having a pop I wouldn't swop it for anything. (well maybe a 360 spyder). News of other P1 owners with the same problem would be welcome. (how about Arron and Rum ?)

DavidRB, thanks for the tip I wondered what Caps Lock meant

Phil

At the 1000 mile service I questioned a grating sound that came from around the passenger front pillar area. It turned out to be a loose front spoiler. This is clearly not the best piece of engineering in the world.

Otherwise

Prodrive brakes

Cool

well guys'n'gals mines luvli jubbli

Seriously tho, I have a few problems with the paint to the front spoiler and the P1 embossed rear spoiler - but thats booked to be sorted in the near future. Re the spoiler Phil...I also have caught it a couple of times...but only slight. However I have not noticed the noise ??!!....but as you know I am getting old and slightly hard of hearing !!!

Other than that - no probs.

Speak soon no doubt...

All the best

If you've noticed the noise then you've definitely got loose or missing clips. Have a look at them, if they are loose then you may be able to push them back in yourself.
