Default scoobyclinic the facts to the now locked thread

wow there seems to be a load of keyboard heros out and about lately we just had to post our side of the story as we have nothing to hide and it upsets us when people give scoobynet partizan facts to make us look bad!

One of our customers mates comes on to give us a kicking and gave a very strange one sided version of the facts!

£1200 for 12 bhp er no!

just clarify what he had

1 turbo up-pipe fitted
1 scooby ecu fitted&mapped
4 22b injectors fitted
2 hours rolling road time

total bill £1248.43 inc vat
not a bad price we think?

As for arriving then someone else being mapped before his mate, we usually do 2-3 maps per day we ask all the customers to get here at the start of the day and then work through the maps as giving specific time does not work, The reason the other customer went on before his mate was he was having a tek3 re-map which are easyer to do than your mates "scoobyecu" and if you want to be picky he booked in 2 weeks before your mate.

we pride ourselves on our hospitality and make customers drinks as we are making ours and we also ask customers if they would like some food when we pop out at dinner for ours! (iirc his mate had a chinese with us!) if you would like another drink you only have to ask.

When we started to map the car it chucked up a few problems common with early cars that could not of been sorted in the day so what did we do?
we lent the customer a car now the key word he seems to have missed is "courtesy" we are not oblidged to give out cars but we do to help out, if we did not offer them and you needed to get the train home would that of been our fault?

When the customer requested a drive in his car before he would pay the bill a fresh fault appeared which brought on the engine managment light, this was then diagnosed on our select monitor exposing the manifold pressure sensor as the offending componet.
This was diagnosed and replaced FREE OF CHARGE!

We then explained to the customer about the mapping order and why his car was mapped later that day he seemed to understand and left our premises happy.

so from what we can gather because his mate thought he was queue jumped that was then ok to come onto scoobynet and give a lot of wrong information to the subaru comunity.

we hope from this post you can see that there is always two side two every story and as we have nothing to hide we need to put our point across to our commited customers and new ones alike, scoobyclinic is always striving to make your time with us a good one and look after your cars to the best of our abilities

Just as I suspected (and posted words to that effect in the thread).

I've not actually been to the clinic, but it was obvious that the info on the thread in question just did not add up!

It was also insulting, which never helps anyones case!

Adam, I don't think you have much to worry about, your reputation preceeds you. I think I speak for the majority of people here when I say that I wouldn't think twice about getting more work done at Scoobyclinic. I was more than happy with the performance of my car after visiting.

Anyone who questions their ability, just look how many threads / recommendations appear on Snet.

I've used scoobyclinic several times and I have to say I agree, the service is terrible!!!

Never been offered a cup of tea yet!!!!

However (and perhaps much more importantly!) I have had no problems with the service. All work has been bang up to scratch, the service is friendly and courtesy cars have always been made available, even at the shortest of notice.

I'd definately recommend the place (not that any recommendations are needed, as pointed out a very good reputation has been established, and for good reason IMO). I'll definately be entrusting my pride and joy to the scoobyclinic lads for more mods in the near future.

My car is up at Scoobyclinic at the moment for a full engine rebuild and there is no other place I would rather it be.... I worked bloody hard for that car and I have piece of mind knowing all the work is carried out to the HIGHEST of standards. If you want fancy reception areas p*ss off somewhere that charges £60 hour.
If you want good reliable service keep goin to SCOOBYCLINIC.

Cheers to Adam and all the crew at the clinic

Guys, try not to let these 'keyboard heros' get you down.

You provide a valuable service and have an excellent reputation.

I'm sure this has really upset you, but try not to let it get the better of you; he'll need you before you need him, so, in reality, who's the w anker?

Well i made a 480 mile round trip at 6am on saturday morning from dover in kent to scoobyclinic for the first time......and got home at 8pm!!!

AND BOY AM I GLAD I DID!!!!

Never been to a subaru specialist where the staff there are more excited about whats being done to my car than i am..(mainly Adam.. )and im 22!!

The fact that me, my girlfriend and my girlfriends mum were all offered a drink and were made to feel more than welcome made the trip alone worth while...

No matter how many questions i threw at them they were more than willing to answer and fully explain anything i wanted to know which is exactly what you want when putting your hard earned into your car time and time again...

Ive only nown the guys up ther since saturday and I already know that I wont be taking my car anywhere else while i own a scooby...

KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT WORK GUYS..........

Joe Luckett.....

As a few of you know I have by no means got the most powerful impreza ever, but there honestly is nowhere else I'd rather my car would be if it had a problem, they are the only people I would trust to look after it, and they have done several times since I have had the scoob.

At the end of the day I'm lucky enough to live a couple of miles from them, but even if I lived on the Isle of Wight I'd still make the journey if there was summat wrong.

BTW Adam - god knows how many times I've been up there this year, and only one cup of coffee?!??!!

I have said this before but i will say it again and i will keep saying it whenever some "Keyboard" hero's or 's decides to have a pop at the guys at the SC, you will not find a more friendly and helpful bunch of people anywhere my car doesn't go anywhere else, ive lost count of the extra's ive had done there, from simple changing of the oil and filter to the big 2.5ltr build
I have the utmost for Kev, Adam and the all the guys there, why, cos they ALL take the time out to chat to you and are never to busy to explain to you what there doing and why.

i even went there this saturday morning, i work nights, so before i went home it was a 45 mile trip to the clinic to purchase a plastic sleeve for my K&N, simple 5 minute job, 1 jubilee clip and 4 screws, even i could do it, but Kev said no while your here i'll get one of the lads to fit for you
Adam also suplied me with coffee to keep me awake that reminds me will sort you guys out some new mugs cos your getting a bit low again

My engine on the Type R went pop at Weston-Super-Mare. I got it transported to Bristol where I live. Gave SC a ring when enquiring for quotes as I have heard they are the wizards when it comes to 2.5 transplants. They were round my place in no time and transported it to there garage.
Now please stop praising SC so much as they have so much work that they cannot even look at mine for 3 weeks. Nice to know my Scoob is in safe hands.

Never saw orignal thread or been to SC but this is the problem on here you get a decent company doing good work and because some d1ck think's he's been hard done by come's on here and slag's off the place or his "mate" does , this place seem's to have very good customer friendly atmosphere and do their best to keep customer's happy

If there are two bad reports out of many thousands then there isn't anything to worry about.

I'm sure every company has to deal with a minority of problems. Some legitimate and some not-so. Even if they bend over backwards to solve them, they still get slagged off.

Acting purely as devils advocate here but there is the old saying you can't please all the people all the time.

I've had dealings with companies regarding my Impreza and in particular with my old 205GTI. Took it to a very well respected garage who could do no wrong in the eyes of the 205 fraternity and they gave me the worst level of service I have ever experienced. I've been to independent specialists who have a high level of respect but who also have the odd negative comment posted on here but its all down to the experience and the level of trust built up between the company and the individual.

I've read posts on here about Subaru dealerships and people have had nothing good to say about them but on my visit to said dealership I was more impressed with their service than any other dealers I've ever been too.

These things really should be resolved between the individual and the company and posting company names on any site should be a last resort. Its somewhat interesting that had the company in question not been named immediately, many SN members would have been calling for the company to be "Named and shamed" - it does happen on here - probably would have been a shock!

Hi,
A big thanks to everyone for your support.

I see Clitomat has posted again.........
funny that seeing as at 9 am this morning the owner of the vehicle in question telephoned me to appologise for his mates behavior! stating that he had no idea about the thread until someone rang him. He made the call to set the record straight and that he was very happy with his car and the work carried out, and now wanted to re-book at a later date for a turbo upgrade and map tweak to suit.

It does as Adam states, upset all the crew when someones not happy with our work, but upset is not the word when someone deliberatly sets out to rubbish our company for no apparant reason, in fact his original now removed post was in fact liable and completly uncalled for.

Again big thanks to all for your support, and of course you can count on us for the same.
Cheers Kev.
