Insurance rip off

Just phoned my insurance company, direct line, to see what effect having the PPP fitted to my MY54 STi would have. They quoted me an extra £268 to the end of my policy, which ends in mid November. That's £268 for 4 and a half months. Seriously not happy with that
Can anyone recommend a company to change to when my premium's up for renewal?
Cheers, Toby
P.S. I'm 28

The problem is the companies don't like modified cars.
You should stick to something standard. I went from an STi IV to the Type 25 and the extra premium for 7 months was £15. Had to think about it, but I decided to go with it![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
The insurance companies (or at least the ones that have arrangements with Norwich Union) know exactly what the Type 25 is. It was the same with the WR1 - another standard, unmodified car that was cheaper than an STi with PPP.
