Whats wrong with me Scoob
Oh no... Stopped at the lights today and heard the engine labour quite a bit on idle. Didnt think that much of it, thinking maybe a bit of dirty petrol?
Then i started to drve again and oh my god what a pig, so hard not to stall it, revs going up and down no power, really jerky and unsmooth.
Gradually got worse, and i noticed also that i am only achieving 0.5 bar of boost, as a pose to 0.98.
Parked up for a while, returned to my car, as i began to drive it home i noticed that the boost was creeping back up but still only managed 0.7 bar!!! Also a funny little orange light has appeared on my dash (engine check light i believe).
Car still running like a bucket of ****.
Any views/suggestions?

Maf sensor maybe? Just had this on an 02 sti, except the car drove alright once it started to rev a bit, have you had the battery dis-connected at all? As this sometime's reset's the ecu, and it need's to re-learn, this should sort itself out after about ten time's of starting the engine, and the engine light should go out.

yeah once it got through the horible juddery start and came on boost, it felt o.k, but still not the same.
A MAF on 02 WRX Never heard of this.
You reckon i should start and stop the engine 10 times then?

If you have a full decat and your check engine light has come on it could be that the tip of the exhaust temp sensor has burnt off. With the cat being removed it is bombarded with much higher temperatures. If you have had a map this will tell sensor to ignore higher temps, but if tip is burnt off car will go into safe mode - drop in power.
There is a very simple fix you can do with a 12k 2 watt resistor from Maplins which will cost you a mighty 12 pence! Best get engine looked at first though.
