Question Impreza becoming popular ?!?!

I am seeing more and more Impreza's in my area. They seem to be the new golf - but surprisingly I am seeing a lot of non turbo's in the blob eye shape and 90% of all scoobs in my area are women drivers [including a few STI's]. Having a quick look at the subaru.co.uk site, I see the car is from £14000. Includes AWD a/c etc etc.....

Anyone else noticed a rise in the less desirable models !?

Yes.

There are 6,000+ Subarus being sold each year in the UK. I think people are realising they are a superb car, whatever model you get.

Funny that, just this week I was thinking that I was seeing a lot of newish silver non-turbo cars. Almost all the ones I'm seeing are silver, for some reason, but there is no doubt that there are a lot more of them about than used to be the case. The last while is probably the first time I remember going out and seeing more "normal" Imprezas rather than turbos on the road. Perhaps there is a good deal or insurance offer or something on them at the minute? Just when I'm looking at getting rid of mine because their customer service is so bad!!

I don't know though, I've had Subarus for over 6 years but I've never really noticed a lot of the non-turbo versions about until very recently.

Not sure why the less disirable models sell to be honest? Poor performance coupled with bad mpg doesnt bode well in a very competitve market place.

We looked at one for Emma a year ago. Test drove it and the performance was very mild. Might still have got a sale but for the poor economy the salesman stated we would see.

Shame though it was a nice car just couldnt justify it against a new A3 personally.
