IMPORTANT - Petrol Station Priority Lists
#3
In my view the Government has been preety cagey about what is meant by "priority"
are these stations to be used by those private motorists for whom fuel is essential as they work in the Emergency Services, Health care, etc.
or are they those stations which if supplied with fuel, the Government believes will provide enough fuel for the ordinary motorist to go about their normal business?
If the former I support these actions, if the later I do not.
In my view the list of stations seems suspiciously long, 4 in Aylesbury area alone

Aren't I a lucky bunny living in Surrey. About 10 garages around me within a mile are listed (including my usual) yet only 2 in the whole of Merthyr Tydfil (Wales) where my parents live are listed, yet they have a major hospital. How does the list work?

Apparently this is the first draft of the list, the second draft had 100 fewer names on it, and this is the one that is current, so the sky news one has too many petrol stations on it !

STOKE-ON-TRENT - Airport Service Station (BP)
Uttoxeter Road, Meir, STOKE-ON-TRENT, Staffordshire, ST3 6HE.
Availability:
Unleaded - Yes
LRP - Yes
Diesel - Yes
Time Available/Due - 6:00 am 14/10/2000

This place is less than five minutes from our office and somebody went down there today. Only had LRP left.
The Shopsonthenet list has all the stations in Staffordshire having UL, LRP and Diesel in with resupply @ 6am tomorrow. Utter tosh.
These list's aren't worth the web space they take up.
Chris.
