Default What gets rid of spilt OIL on the driveway

Just changed the oil and made a right monkeys breakfast of it. What can I use to scrub the drive clean. Theres not loads of it so sand or gritt would be usefull. I was thinking about hot water and fairy?

I find seabirds (cormorants, penguings, seagulls etc.) do a great job of soaking it up. When they are 'full' simply call in greenpeace who will clean them up ready for the next use.

Pressure washer does the trick. (into an old towel)

BTW you're not the only one, not only did I create an oil slick a tanker would be proud of, but I burnt my hand desperately retrieving the drain plug from the woefully shallow, inadequate oil tray.

lol, at least you **** up an oil change once only, any more then give it to a dealer

Brake dust cleaner stuff works well.

I use and industrial upholstery cleaner, but you have to know where to get it from. A bit like the stuff they use in those carpet cleaner vacuum things.

You can get stuff from car shops which is specificly designed for removing oil from driveways (I guess a lot of us have accidents). Should only cost a few quid.

'GUNK' do a driveway cleaner product for this, also sawdust (particularly the type used as bedding for rabbits/guinia pigs etc.) works well to soak it up.

GUNK stuff is extremely effective, as is shampoo strangely and perhaps worryingly.
