Sorry to do the insurance thing YET AGAIN, but my insurance renewal just came through at £400 more than last year dispite no changes to me or my car or claims or anything. Adrian flux say that over the last year, too many MY99 turbo 2000s have been crashed. So who is it then? Is this true? Can't beleive how much it's gone up by.

I'm afraid its probably true mate. Consequence of the cars becoming affordable to some people who probably shouldn't have them. If an company makes it a condition that you must not have any previous convictions and are over 25, I bet they'd get a few less claims. I know that's not going to be a popular viewpoint, particularly with the younger members on here that do know how to behave , but I fear it's predominantly true.
I got cheap quotes from Admiral and Bell direct (part of Admiral) through confused.com for my Legacy. I own a 93 uk spec Legacy single turbo so basically the same as an Impreza and aged 30 with full no claims it's £350 fully comp Give them a go.

Thank you all very much. Confused.com were even worse, £900 more than last year! trying admiral now.
Adrian Flux are not that good to be honest unless your a boy racer
Well I must be a boy racer then
Flux have always been massively cheaper for me than anyone else, but its no good everyone saying "try company X" as its all based on postcodes. Some of the 205 lads swear by HIC, but for me they quoted silly money, £1000 a year more than Flux and i'm 31 with full NCD. They told me my postcode is loaded through them at 80%!!!
So it all depends mainly on where you live and how each company loads your postcode.
hi mate i just bought brand new impreza wrx and my insurance with direct line is £450 a year give them a go.
