sti sill guards,confussed

Default sti sill guards,confussed

hi guy's
Now i have purchased some sti "bling bling" sill protector's for the motor,got em dirt cheap,and they are the o.e dealer one's,now my question is,how the bloody hell do you mount the front one's?

the rear one's sit nice and flush on the rear plastic sill protector's,but the front one's go all the way over the sill's and dont seem to flush fit,any idea's guy's,dont want to go and ruin them by fittin em wrong

I fitted some genuine STi ones last week.

I've got mine fitted with double sided tape to the original front plastic sill protectors.
They're not as neat looking as the rears, as they don't fully cover the old ones.

I can post some pictures later,if that's any help?

if you could put some pic's up mate,that would be splendid
as said the rear's sit lurv-er-ly onto the plastic's,but the fronts look erh wrong!

Top tip (Maybe?), go & buy some of the extra strong self adhesive velcro from halfrauds or B&Q, about £5. Use that & you can play around with the fitting, plus it seems to seat them better, then as they're removable you can clean underneath.
Made sense to me.

Steve, that's a good idea with the velcro. Wish I'd thought of that before using loads of double sided tape.

Been there........done that...........another thing too is that if you ever come to sell/transfer to another car they're less likely to bend if velcro'd. As they're £100 iirc & fairly easy to damage that's got to be a consideration.
