Angry Bloody Steamy Front Window

Really Pi$$ing me off !!!!

Why does my Front Window mist up every time it either rains or gets even remotely damp outside ??????

My Frigging Classic was the same, I had hoped the new STi's would have got over it.

It's getting to the point now where I get no performance when it's hot and if it rains or has been raining I have to run with the Aircon clearing the window... Hence power loss again! BUGGER.

At this rate I'm doomed to have about 1 hour per years worth of useable power and be able to see where to use it. (Slight exageration but you catch my drift here)

Any suggestions would be MUCH appreciated. I'm a desperate man. Is there some sort of Anti Fog thing I can get?

PS. The re-circ button is not on before anyone asks !

Check to make sure you dont have your fan on internal air, that steams up the windows

Maybe raining in, or the drain holes for the heater box are blocked - check for soggy carpets

One thing with a/c is once you start using it in humid weather you cannot turn it off, as all the water that has condensed on the evaporator will evapourate inside the car and re-condense on your windows.

Best not to use it at all if you don't like using it (with the odd 5min run every month to keep it in working order)

I used to get this a lot, but now awitch off the air-con about 10 minutes before I get to where I'm going, but leave the fan on the 2nd speed. I guess it must allow the condensation to evaporate.

Open the window slightly and put the blower on 1 for the windscreen only for about 1 minute.....It will clear and generally stay clear

If you just turn up the fan blowing up towards windscreen this will keep things clear and not drain power like air con. All cars are the same in this respect.
