Could do with a little advice
hi all newbie ere so be gentle P, i just wanted some advice on which would be the best scooby for me to buy with a 3k bugdet, an how much do you guys spend on serviceing an anything esle i should look out for when snooping for my first scooby ie dont wanna buy a shiney death trapp, any info would be great

how old are you mate insurances plays a massive part in what typre u can get.. i ended up with a 2.0 sport as i cudnt insure anything else being 18... im more than happy with it not a rapid thing but feels nice drives nice and still looks the part!

Get yourself to TOTB, see how much Scoobies get thrashed, then decide if you are willing to risk £3k on a dog.
If I were you, I'd wait until you can add a couple of grand to that and get a nice one
Don't get me wrong, there are probably some very nice early Scoobs, but there will also be a lot of ****e...

You'll find that you wont get a decent Turbo, even an early one for £3K - most in good condition sell for at least £4.5 - £5 even for stuff on L and M plates.
When I was looking top buy I went to see quite a few cheaper cars, and nearly all were rough, high mileage with no history, or had been 'home modded'
Would agree with the advice above, save up another couple of grand and you'll start getting the choice of decent early cars with FSH, lower mileage etc...
