Is it much of a job to DIY?

Shouldn't think the bolts will be too corroded as the car's only 18 months old...

Does it make much of a difference on its own?

Scoobyclinic charged me £125 all in to fit up AND downpipe 4 weeks or so ago. ie 4 hours labour..!

Very good job and that included a few siezed studs to manifold (which they air sawed off..!).

Not worth me getting my ramps out for that..!

Yes that was the labour, It took almost all morning to fit. They had to take half the exhaust manifold off, the downpipe off and lots of wd40.

As to wether it makes a differance - yes. the turbo seems to spool earlier and it pulls better to 6000+, some say its worth 8-10 bhp ?? my cars a 2002 wrx, if you do change up-pipe,do the resistor fix so you wont get a cel light on your car.

I think I might wait and get the downpipes and remap done at the same time...just frustrating having the up pipe sat in the living room

i know the feeling, i did it all backwards. did the sportscat last year then had to remove it all to do the up-pipe this year. whish id thought it all out at the start, would have save me the extra £140.
