There are a few pictures on www.scoobymagazine.com.
No details are being handed out for the UK specs at the moment. The Japanese Subaru site has plenty of information about their models though.

No such car after an STi V6, the JDM cars used a numbering system, but as now the european cars are here, and they are of a lower spec technically and mechanially in most cases to the JDM cars, it would get very confusing, the new car will just be an MY06 Impreza STi.

Every year is actually a new version as they are not all quite the same, be it a minor or major change, one reason the numbering was dropped, my car is different to a uk STi8, majorly mechanical, so it cannot be an STi 8 so it has to be an STi9, get the drift?
This is why there is no numbering after 6.

I think Mike Wood also posted something similar, it doesnt matter if there were or were not differences, its really now a year thing (hence the cosmetic differences between the V5 and V6 but no mechanical changes).

JDM cars ran 2001, 2002 2003 2004 and 2005, 5 versions of different years, hence why the STi8 isnt a 2003 car, they are not all due to just being versions, mainly now just the different years, this is where the major confusion comes in, and the reason they dropped the STi version and just went numbering, as if my car were the same as a UK STi 8, it would run all the same running gear, engine etc, but it doesnt, neither does any JDM car of that year, the WR1 would be an 8.5? see, totally confusing now, hence you can only really call the JDM cars the versions, but per year (except the original which was released early 94, the odd one out as the v2 was an MY96).
