Default Patch on passenger seat??

I am selling my MY04 STI and a potential buyer has mailed me after looking at a pic on E-Bay to ask why there is an Official Subaru World Rally Team patch on the passenger seat.

This has been on since I bought the car but he asks if it is there to cover a cigarette burn or something - here is a pic of the patch:

Can anyone tell me why this patch is here or what it stands for??

Cheers

Hanley

definately covering something, i presume you bought it second hand! most seats that had a logo have it on BOTH seats , centered not offset, on the back rest , embroidered, not a patch like on yours(looks like a sew on patch that you get on the rally jackets!)
hope this helps!

regards

I think it is covering something too. Take it off and have a look then get the mrs. to redo it.

Looks to me like you got owned by whoever you purchased it from, they will probably have another chuckle when the MY06 comes out!

Just had another look and looks like its been glued on

Don't really fancy pulling it off - not the patch anyway

Lets face it if the guy doesn't want to buy a 305BHP STI cause there's a patch on one of the seats more fool him

Hey up Paul ,
Sorry to see you are selling the car , The badge on the seat was on when I bought the the car , I thought they all had them ! I was even going to buy another one for the drivers seat and I never gave it a second thought
I got shut of the Focus about six weeks ago and bought an Audi A4 1.9TDI
Anyway good luck with the sale , what you fancing next ?

Hi Kevin

The car is fantastic, however, now I have a 12 week old son its a little too shaky for him in the back.

I'm sure you remember how much of a hard ride this car has.

I also thought all STI's had these patches, whenever someone gets in the car they always comment on how good it looks.

I was considering a A4 1.8T or 1.9TDi (not copying honest) :-) but I have also seen a nice Saab 93 Aero 2.0T so I may consider one of those.

We still have the black Focus so once I sell the STI I will use that and have a good look at what cars are around.

Cheers

Paul

p.s Kevin do you miss the STI? I know I definately will when it goes!!

I was nearly in tears when I sold the car to you , But the running costs where crippling us at the time and It had to go , I bought with my heart and sold with my head Im afraid .

I was always on here complaining about the harsh ride and it just dosnt bother some driver's , I guess I am just getting to old for these rally rep's now

The Audi is a great drive and 650 miles to a tank to boot so I am well happy now and intend on keeping it for a few years but I do miss the STI especially when some snotty nosed kid in his Saxo is trying it on
