Default lazy scoob

Not had my classic scooby for long, but each morning whilst i pull away from my house (when the engine is cold) i get a noticeable judder from the clutch. Just pulling away in first that one time and thats it!!

Maybe i have a lazy scoobie and its unwilling to leave the house in the morning!!

anyone else had the same?

I get the same thing. its normal, if you double clutch the car it will pull away much smoother.

My classic did it all the time when cold. Bloody annoying and eventually changed it for an Ap organic clutch. Best £350.00 I spent. Fantastic bit of kit.

Addison,

This problem is caused by the material used to make the clutch disk (no asbestos these days I'm afraid). Its prone to absorbing moisture overnight so first thing in the morning, you get this judder. Once the clutch has dried out you won't notice it.

Its worse in the winter, for obvious reasons and, yes, they all do that sir. My "classic" wagon and current new age STI had/have this problem.

You could always go for a racing clutch........
