What they dont mention is the ones for 3.5K are fresh off the boat from Japan and are generally rough as a dogs arris - most have questionable history, are damaged repairables, have bodged repairs, or DIY mods on them.

Theres a place near me sells imports, and they are reasonably clean for the most part - they ask £5K - £6K for all of them ( L reg ro N reg mostly ).

As you say - if they can get the SAME car in the SAME condition for £3.5K, why are they even bothering to look at yours, why havent they bought one already ? because they went to look at the £3.5K ones and realised they needed at least £1K of work doing to get them near to 'good' condition.

Agree Stu. I must have got 5 or 6 calls telling me they can pick P reg classics up for £2k less and that mine was too modified for them. Why the hell do they ring?

Knew my car was a minter and the first person that came to see it took it out. The minute his face lit up I knew I had a buyer. He summed it up when he said there's that much cr@p about these days and that he'd been to see about 20 cars before mine that just did not come close to what he was looking for. To cap it he didn't even haggle with the price and gave me what it was advertised for.
