Default The Scoob Has Gone

Well after 7 years of Subaru ownership

1998 ImprezaTurbo
2000 Forester Turbo
2002 WRX
2004 Legacy 3.0 R
2004 05my Sti

I have finally said goodbye to the marque, I know that you will slag me off but Iv'e just taken delivery of a BMW Z4 3.0se and do you what

Im lovin it, most noticably the lack of turbo lag.

So no more big exhausts, no more dodgy oil change stories, no more MAFS, no more knocklinks blah blah blah.

Ive loved them while Ive had them but its time to grow up.

I doubt it. I'm in my forties and I'm keeping the scoob.

Just sold my 2002, BMW 325i (6 pot) for a WRX300 and it's made me feel younger already (maybe 30 as opposed to 40). Reminds me of my youth in a Renault 11 Turbo. Don't grow up too quick!!!

I ENJOY the turbo lag.......!

You mention Z rather than the model, which I take to mean z3, which tbh is not a patch on the Z4 for overall driving experience (i've owned both), and not in the same league for performance as either a scoob or z4 3.0, so I wouldnt be too worried

I got rid of a 2.5SE Z4 for a new scoob and not disappointed at all - especially surprised i wasnt pining for the beemer during recent hot weather.

Since I sold the z4 I have noticed that I was rather young to be a z4 driver, as most drivers had grey or no hair. This is not to do down what IMHO is the best car I've ever driven - and i would definately own another.
