IS a non turbo scooby a scooby ;-) ????
Hands up who owns one!!! a non turbo impreza???
Hands up who doesnt class them as scoobies???
Reason i say this is,
I was in the pub the other night and heard this bloke going on and on about his scooby etc! i was expecting him to have a beauty!!!
I go outside and there it was!! his standard flat bonnet, drum rear brakes, non turbo scooby!
Me and my mate were in a 1.6 VTEC civic and on the way home followed him / raced him (not over 60 of course!!) then overtook him!!!
Now is it actually possible to be proud to own a NON turbo Scooby?????
Is it just me that thinks this? or is a non turbo scooby like a woman without t1ts and ****???

sounds like elitism to me! lol
the non turbo's are slow, but they are still Scooby's at the end of the day... you could say the same about the turbo 2000 if you were going down that path, is it a proper scooby as it's only group 17... aimed at a different market etc etc...

when I think of Scoobs I think of 280bhp minimum and the letters STi... the 215bhp and 225bhp Scoobs of old and new are not even comparable to even the oldest slowest Evo for example, but yeah, I know what you mean. Think of Subaru and Impreza's with STi badges on big vents instantly enter my mind. Still think the classic is the only one to go for... cant believe they changed the shape, they are awesome!

erm... not too up on my facelift changes... but my mates 98 R reg Turbo 2000 with all the STi kit on looks fantastic and the noise is just ****... lol
but yeah, that's the only one I'd consider, I was looking at a Sti 6 RA? about a month ago as my current car is proving HIGHLY unreliable... but then it is French... hehe

That's when it becomes sad....
I had a sport until the insurance became cheap enough to get my STI
Lets face it...a sport made to look like a turbo is most likely un-insured due to modifications.

without trying to dig a hole I mean to say that when I think of Subaru I think of rally cars and also Mitsi Evo's, I think of them as very similar so dont really think too much of the lower powered ones as to be honest their not in the same league performance wise, but i'd imagine running costs are a lot more friendly!
I think Sport owners should put Sti engines in with 2.5 bottom ends for the absolute sleeper effect, make you 280bhp lot stand up and take note... i'd still say it was a sport too hehe
