Scooby respect
Hi everyone,
I've had my STI since May this year and at first I was a bit mystified by the waves and headlight flashes from other Scooby drivers. I have since realised that the acknowledgements are a kind of mutual respect between the Subaru owners. I have to say that I have never driven anything as reassuring and as exciting as my Scooby, they certainly are one 'hell of a car'.
I think it is only fitting that the Scooby owners should have a forum such as this which is full of such helpful and knowledgeable people. Keep flying the flag!

I thought it was a local thing where some other scooby drivers don't wave, never mind we will persist in waving, some more scooby drivers are starting to wave, we will convert them then they will see what they are missing.

Acknowledgement of oncoming Scooby drivers should be made one of the commandments given to all members who join the board.
...though shall wave to all fellow Scooby drivers..chav or gent...

Hi Folks
Nice to be made so welcome into a forum occupied by such nice and often amusing people. Has anyone ever experienced the sound of a multitude of Scoobies all driving down the same street at the same time? I bet that would sound awesome and judging by the photos in one of the other topics 'a sight to behold'.

Something I don't quite understand is why the 5 door scooby owner never waves?
Also I never saw an old age owner waving at me. I had the same feeling when driving my new Mini against old mini: they either think you are not worth it or they are jalous...
4 door blob and bug eyes rules!?

case 1= I am "new age"
case 2= I am "old age" (I really don't feel it though)

i have noticed in my classic that all classics wave or flash at me and i always return it or i do it first the only thing i can say is that there are many bugeye and newer just look at you as if to say **** off chav mines at least double the value.or even a shake of the head and then they look away.why do they need to do this i thought there was a mutual respect thing but now i'm not sure. i hope no one takes this the wrong way but this is just my findings.

I wave to all passing scoobs and 9 times out of 10 get one back although it always seems to be me to go first
Those that blank me tend to be the suited bussiness types or middle aged women in their wagons but they probably are not on here to know the ettiquete anyway
Driving through Ayr last week I waved at two Evo's within about 30 seconds of each other and got very enthusiastic waves back.........which was nice
