Speedo gone haywire

Unhappy Speedo gone haywire

Not my day today, this morning had some muppet scratch my bumper and on the way home from work i noticed that when i go above 50mph the speedo needle starts randomly jumping about from anywhere between 0-140 mph yet when i slow down below 50mph it sarts working again any ideas? cheers

Try sticking your hand up the back of the clocks and push the cable back on properly. Seems like its slipped off a bit to me.

I'd say go back to the Doctors and tell him that twitch in your right leg is getting worse.

will have a fiddle cheers hope its nothing to expensive, off on holiday next week thats going to cost a shed load

could be the cable or speedo drive, isn,t massively expensive to replace either.

The MAF Sensor has been known to have this effect ...... get the Speedo Re-Mapped too!!

and a ****-link fitted just to be sure

on a more sensible note, and apprecaite you've sorted it, but crap earth connections can also cause similar probs- anyone reading this with similar probs do a search for 'earthing mod'

cheers and mr lewis, **** link, new maf sensor and lose the gold wheels maybe they have something to do with it
