Default Warranty's

Hi guys,

Got myself back in the game after 2 years of owning fast bikes and cheap run around cars, ive bought myself an STi 8 and how pleased I am to be back.

The car has a TSL 333 kit on it, my Subaru warranty ends in about 6 months time and have been re quoted 1300 quid for another year which is far to expensive in my eyes.

Does anyone know of any good and cheap places to get warrantys from which include cars with such packs on them and know what they are doing when it comes to fixing things.

thanks guys would appreciate the help, i live in the north east of England

Sy

Doesn't the TSL 333 pack void the Subaru warranty anyway?

Aggred the warranty ended when the TSL333 kit was added.

I just bought one of those from the above co. ^

Seems the warranty of choice over on the TT forum and payments are swiftly made, as opposed to the warrantydirect offering. (loads of bad reports about that)

A warranty company won't cover a modified car, surely!?

I specifically bought a WRX with low mileage, (24k miles and 4 years old) to try and avoid immediate repair costs but mine is now suffering from a gearbox problem that looks like it's going to cost me £500-£1500.

I wish I'd bought a warranty, although as I'm going for PPP I'm not sure whether it would be void anyway???

I think with warranties online you might just get away with it as all they ask for is your last service invoice - and when it needs repair you take it to a garage of choice and then send them the report for payment - I could be wrong but I dont see how they would know in certain cases if your car was modded.

I paid a little extra to be able to take it to a main dealer with the policy I bought.
I'm no rocket scientist but I reckon Audi will quite happily do any work on my car if they think they can get someone else to pay for it (its not underwritten by Audi so no loss to them), so it makes no difference whether it been modded or not.
