Default Autoroute help needed

Hi All,

I am in the middle of plan a route for an upcomming SWS meet and have used autoroute and a GPS tracker to create a trail on the map of my proposed route. What I need to do is convert this trail into a route/list of directions that can be handed out so no one gets lost. I know I can go along the route setting up waypoints etc but that would take for ever as almost every road would need to be marked and it's a 3 hour moorland drive so some roads are not prefered routes when autoroute plans the quickest/shortest route.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Ben

You can mark roads/junctions/places you want to go via by 'right-clicking' on them and selecting 'Add as Stop'. Autoroute will then use all them in the route. You shouldn't have to put all the points in, Autoroute will fill in the gaps depending on your preferences- unless you're making a complicated zigzag shaped route?

Turn on the 'Location Sensor' in 'Tools' and record your own waypoints (long&lat) without leaving your chair..... but if Im missing the point I'll delete this so dont quote me in your reply!

slimnotshady has pretty much summed it up, add in 'stops' to force autoroute to plot the route you want.

You can also change the options so that it automatically doesn't choose the shortest/quickest routes.
