Default Can't decide on private plate

EDIT - for some reason I've got my flame suit on standby!

I know many people find these a complete waste of time but a mate and I have been talking about buying private plates for our cars. Now I really wanted something like L555EDD. Not too bothered about the prefix as may car is X reg but I really wanted the 555 for the subaru and EDD obviously for me. The only 555EDD ones left are V and X which are about £600 and we are only looking at cheaper £250 ones.

So my short list in no particular order

S800EDD - the S800 is a little similar to scoob if only by a bit
P333EDD

I could change the EDD to EDS and have

K555EDS
M555EDS

Although I get the 555 bit and EDS, I don't think EDS looks as good as EDD.

Think its between the top 2 at the moment.

Or you could change your name to Dan and buy mine

I liked the X reg plate as I thought It sounded like Excess Dan...

Default car specific ok till you sell

A car specific plate is ok till you sell and if you then have your initials and it does not work for the buyer or for you on next car (unless you always want a 555 scooby).
Car specific could have 555AWD or similar and may add value to car a sale time.
If you want initials then a simple a....Z 1..9 abc stays with you.
I was lucky with my T4PWh as it was great with the T4 Volvo , still works on a scooby (Turbo 4 wheel drive) and generally looks ok on anything.

I'd say go for something personal to you and not the car.

IMHO you can't beat a good old no prefix or suffix plate, but then i guess i'm a little biased!

I've sourced loads of plates for mates. I seem to have an eye for it.
Yours is easy.
Search for L555 ED_ and see what's there. Maybe use your surname and have L555 ED P or whatever? L55 SED (L555 ED) is the same price. Also, you could have EDE on the end for Eddie or EDO and subtley change the O into a D?
Bob's your uncle now.
