Default Important MAF question

My MAF is on the way out, does anyone know if this is covered with an approved used car warrenty. I have 4 months left on the warrenty and it has been suggested to me that this may be replaced under warrenty.

Any advice would be appreciated

It's a warranty item .............. but, only if it has failed.

Not if its just 'on its way out' - as - every item on a car is 'on-its-way-out', isn't it?

What makes you say its starting to fail?

I believe it is .... what year is your car?

If its a 99/000 car, its only a £75 piece of kit anyway .... but I wouldnt waste any time in having it changed .... can cause serious problems f it goes unchecked!

Also, has the car got the standard airbox and not an induction kit .... may make difference to any warranty claim!

Just got the car serviced by a specialist and he has advised me to try and get this replaced under warrenty as it is starting to hesitate when driving along at a steady 60mph. It is a MY00 completely standard. He told me that the car will run for a while but better to be safe for the sake of £70-£80.

You won't get it replaced under warranty just because someone says he 'thinks' it would be better to be safe than sorry!!

Pay the £75 and do it yourself if you are worried?
