Do i dump or not??
Advice peeps, I currently have a k&n induction kit fitted and to all you who've done the same you'll know tht you can hear the standard fitted dump valve, which, is a very pleasing noise!! My question is, if you replace the standard dump/blow off valve with say a nice big baileys one are you just replacing the standard or are you doing any harm??

TBH - do a search
An atmospheric DV causes minor problems - nothing major , which most people ignore...but why would you want to make your engine run worse? A recirc DV is just like what you already have.
You already make a pettisssh noise with the K&N, so what more do you want?
another case not often highlighted here is induced chatter caused by incorrectly adjusted aftermarket dumpvalves, short term not a problem....long term - who knows

If we're gonna be helpful we really should question the I/K shouldn't we ? Problems with MAF's failing due to vibration and/or oil contamination, and of course the excess heat from the engine bay raising induction temps and thus reducing power, allied to the extra airflow possibly making the engine run lean which could eventually prove terminal unless the map has been adjusted to compensate ! Add a VTA DV and it really could be a recipe for di$a$ter
