Try our very own nitrous manufacturer instead of the american garbage brought into this country....
The wizards of nos kits are very safe and excellent value for money IMO.
I have a progressive controlled WON kit with 50hp soon upgrading to 75hp jets (Own an LCR not a scooby)
Speak to the wizard himself (trev) on his forum site....

25yrs of nitrous experience, there is nothing he does not know and he'll tell you everything you need to know.

That is the very reason why nitrous gets itself a bad name!
If installed correctly and run sensibly then very rarely anything goes wrong! That video is a typical example of 'cheap' yank systems!
Trev gives a very good explanation on why this happened and its impossible for it to happen on his system due to the safety features he incorporates into his standard components!
With the amount of cars here on scoobynet that have had an engine rebuilds due to poor mapping is unbelieveable! A Far higher statistic than the people who have had problems with nitrous! In fact is there anyone who has had a problem running nitrous on here?

I use a Coldfusion Kit on my scoob, and so far so good....ive used 45 jets on non progressive and progressive and the knocklink has still stayed relatively quiet. The quality of the kit is first rate too. I have a WON kit as well and am not really over awed by the look of it in comparison.

please dont say won cos thats one of the kits i wouldnt buy.if i had more time i would elaborate.
i have a feeling i may have to sooner rather than later

Why wouldn't you buy a WON kit?
Elaborate?
As far as im aware the WON kit has been tested against the majority of its american rivals and always come out on top! I am not just saying that because i have a WON system but there have been numerous magazine based tests where lots of different kits have been compared!
WON always seem to come out on top! Top for reliability. Top for safety and top for performance! There are numerous magazine reviews i can point you to.
Top gear and 5th gear have both had WON systems fitted to differing cars for TV episodes!
I say its best to stick with british when it comes to this! too many horror videos like the 1 above come from the U S Of A

Ran a WON kit a few years back on my Clio for quarter miling. Without going into detail, here are my findings:
If you're going to fit nitrous, be serious about it - use a progressive controller, a bottle heater, and a dash mounted remote pressure gauge at least. Without these it's a waste of time and gas.
It's an expensive habit.
Good fun and works pretty well.

Just out of interest, what other mods are people running who have NOS installed?
Don't properly could 50HP jets be "safe" on a lightly modded UK car?
When I say safe, not too likely to pop the engine as apposed to foot down, goodbye engine, hello cheque book!

if you use a progressive controller then yes id say so...
Im running a decat, tek3 map, and a coldfusion wet kit with minmax controller.
The knocklink barely lights up any more than usual on a trip down the dragstrip.
To run a 50 you dont even really need to retard any timing as the ecu can do it for you, as long as you have a decent set of grade 7 or lower plugs youd be ok
I have run a 45 shot without the controller, and with the exception of the initial hit, everything was ok and improved my 1/4 mile time by 0.6secs. with 8mph terminal increase.
Im going to try a 65 or 75 with the controller at the pod next weekend and see what happens....

Neilo,
I have a coldfusion kit that I want to use on my scoob.
I'm not looking for more power, I'm looking for anti-lag and earlier spool from the kit. What I dont know are the following points.
1) For a 15 or 20 shot would I need any timing adjustment. The ECU is a PFC mapped by Andy F
2) Have you got any pics or advice on where to mount the fogger nozzle
3) Will my current set up help/hinder.
MY98 WRX
STI8 IC
NGK 7's
Megan Headers - wrapped
Zerosports IHI turbo (similar spec to TD05-16g)
Power FC
Zerosports 3" openneck downpipe- wrapped
2.5" straight through to Magnex BB
APS CAK with Samco inlet hose
Walbro 255lt pump.
I have no det at all according to Andy so no issues before the NOS.
Thanks for any advice,
Wayne.

for a small shot like that it should be ok, the only problem is with the pfc, there is no ignition retard, do you have the commander to keep an eye on knock activity?
it helps brilliantly with spool up....bout 1.6bar at about 2200
the rest sounds good...
you could probably alwasy ask andy as he runs it (obviously for power gain) in his drag car...
