info on my new scooby please
hi
i picked up my new impreza today im after some ifno on the spec please.
Its a totally stock turbo 2000, imported from belgium it was manufactured in october 2000
i was wondering what turbo it has in it as my wrx wagon had a tdo4 turbo and i was led to believe this had the same but its totaly different the wagon ran out of steam at 5750rpm where as this comes on song and pulls like a train after 5500rpm!
could anyone advise me on the bhp also?
oh and is it suitable to map the stock ecu on this my?
many thanks and sorry to go on!

Am I the only one that finds this strange - 'just picked up my new Subaru, can anyone on here tell me the spec'
I always like to know what I'm getting before handing over my cash

having owned a wrx before i new what i was looking for. and had thought i had gained all knowledge of ths model/year but performance seems to contradict the spec hence the uncertainty of the turbo/specification

hi,
your MY00 turbo will have 215 bhp@5600 rpm / 214lbft@4000 rpm.
if you look under the carpet and metal plate in the passenger footwell, you're ecu should have a green sticker.
you can benefit form an ecutec "tek 2" remap.(off the self) or from fitting a MY99 ecu.
i've got full decat exhaust, sti filter and "john banks tek 2.5".
or after other mods from a custom "tek 3" remap.
cheers matt.
ps people might argue re tek 2, 3, etc. but the main difference is custom or off the shelf.
