Excellent count me in....
oooooh is Mell Yell coming. Excellent I can have a closer look at his machine, rather than the tail pipe view I got last time on the M62
OK I was out of gas......Well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
Hopefully it will be back from the Doctors by then with a fully bill (haahaaa) of health, and some nice shiny bits
See you there...

Hi,
I've been looking at the maps trying to find a good route. There seems to be 2 options.
1. Standard run through the lakes. Good roads but possibly slow progress if its a fine day.
2. Do the Buttertubs pass run. Which has been talked about for a while.
Suggestions are welcome on which route people would prefer. I'll be trying to make sure that either route will be about 80-100 miles from Kendal to the stop for lunch. I'll also try and make sure that their is a petrol station close by for those with STI's (or very heavy right foots ). I'll be carrying some octane booster if only unleaded is available.
To ensure that we don't cause too much chaos (and possibly spoil it for everybody in the future) The run will be in the format of a quick blast (1/2 mile) followed by a slower period then another quick blast etc. The reason for this is that I have noticed that the runs seem to be getting faster and faster. Since we are on public roads I for one do not want to organise the first run with a fatality (god I must be getting old, hold on just go and get my pipe and slippers )
As Munna said we'll be testing the route this weekend so please tell me whether you prefer option 1 or 2. Or I'll choose option 2
PS: Maps of the route will be provided on the day so hopefully we won't get lost
PPS: Can this post be moved to the Northern Meets forum?

MarkF,
Not to worry we'll sort a day/night out mate and do a Buttertubs run. It will only take about 3 hours from Carlisle and back so we could do a run one night after work if your up to it
Anyway as you know I'd like to set up a monthly run in and around the lakes for whoever can make it. So some routes will be used more than once

Probably picking up my new Scoob this coming week, in England so it's not impossible that I may be there. But I'll be stuck with a stupid 4000rpm limit until my 1st service. Don't suppose you boys will be going that slow?
