Assuming yo have not missed a 0 off then find somewhere else to do your servicing quick! Given that the labour for the 1k service is free you have just paid £138 for a gallon of oil and a filter, I say no more.

If on the other hand it was actually a 10k service it sounds pretty good for a dealer but a little pricy for an independant

^^^ Wot 'e said ^^^

Always phone at least 3 dealers when arranging any work, as prices can vary a lot ! When I wanted the body service/inspection the prices ranged from £145 +vat down to £45 +vat. The first service (1k) should only be IRO £50 TBH. Find a good specialist for the servicing from now on, and save a packet whilst getting the job done better and at no detrement to the warranty

I think you've been ripped off, unfortunately. There was another post on here yesterday or the day before and most people said they paid between ~£40 to £60 for the 1k service.

I'd phone around some other Subaru dealers, get some quotes, then phone the garage who did yours and complain BIG TIME!

Get your money back!!!!!

At the very least get an itemised invoice!!

He could have bought some oil from Oilman, that would explain the high cost I assume? JOKE!!! but they may have put some REALLY expensive oil in!!??

My Subaru Impreza WRX is an import would this make any difference in the price of my 1000 mile service ?.
It appears to me that my local Main Subaru dealer treats my car with contempt because it is an import would I be right in this assumption.

Hi all I take it that this car is a euro import, so it should have a service at 1k,3k then an oil change every 5k and normal service at 10k, thats if I understand the service book correctly.
My WRX from Malta Was serviced free at 1k by Litchfeild imports (thanks) and just had a 3k service with local dealer for £104, this was just an oil change and a quick shake of things to make sure nothing was going to fall off.

Dixie.
