A thought about the recent thefts ...
When I was younger I owned a few RS2000's (MK2) and they were stolen very frequently, not with violence like today but still stolen. Anyway a few people sussed that a lot of thefts took place after shows and local meets etc.. and that perhaps people were turning up to these type of event and then following people home to find where they lived and then coming back another time for the car. It's just a thought, perhaps be wary of being followed home when you're out and about or coming back from events etc..

The problems these days is forums like this are a potential shop window for thieves as people tend to list every detail about their car, where they live and when they're going on hoilday etc.

Is the violence and drastic measures that are taken, because of the security we now have in place to protect our possessions.
- It is much better for them to have the keys - And for that they either have to mug you or break into your home to get them.
- It's (supposedly) much easier to get the police involved (most people have very rapid access to a phone nowadays)
I could go on for ever, but I'll leave that to Pete
