Default Need an answer before tomorrow

Just bought a mountain bike that I've got to pick up tomorrow. Its got an 18" frame and 26" wheels. If I take the front wheel off will it fit in the boot of my STi7 bearing in mind the seats don't fold down ????

TIA

Mike

Thumbs up Yes

Mike, been there myself, same car, same type of bike. The answer is yes (just), but if you have quick release front and rear wheels it's a doddle, hope this helps. You should be able to persuade the bike shop to supply the right rear hub, as it's a new purchase, and this is how you will normally transport it

Thumbs down

Almost certainly not.

You MIGHT get it in the rear if you removed BOTH wheels. Remember to take a cover for the seats

Not sure with a saloon.
Would suggest removing pedals, get in the way and dead easy to get on and off.
Take out seat post (with saddle attached), wheels also and it should squeeze in.

As suggested take some sheets/old blanket whatever to protect the cars seats

I can get two in mine.....
