i got a classic wrx import, two guys at work are continuously trying to find differant cars and buying them to get the "fastest car in the yard"!
today went into work to find one of them has bought a p plate porsch boxter!
its got a 2.5 lump in it, the other guy who is his brother in law a couple of weeks ago or so bought a bmw m3 lookalike, also with a 2.5 lump.
saw the chap with the beemer and he said he gave his brother in law a run down the duel carraigeway and kept up with the boxter!!
the boxter owner wants to give me a run too, what do you think, i think i shant bother coz the guy with the boxter is useing his old tax disc out of his other car (a golf) in the boxter!!

erm, i have driven one, and im standing by my statement, personly, i think the boxter lowers the name, but then we are all entitled to out say.

 

your right....its still a porsche ,all be it the cheaper version of what is a great car.even this model costs more that a top of the range sti so to say its a poor mans car is a little silly.

True, but then he would rape in in most kinds of races i would think, straight line, track, slightly unsure about the top end, but then he would need a considerably higher one than mine just to catch him, let alone get past,
i think he realised that hes taken something and blown it slightly out of hand here...

Albeit slower than the scooby..pisses me off the way people moan on about how the boxster isnt a real porsche.
. porsche and ferrari are 2 of the most respected names in motoring history. so what..its a tame version of the now beast like 911. the porsche 911 was originally a nice drivers roadster with sporting qualities not some 200 mph turbo charged nutter mobile that it is today and the boxster has encaptured that.

as for your little race...yes hes a *** for having a fake tax disk in and he obviously has spent every penny on his porker and left non for petrol tax and insurance. but you would both be **** to race to find out what is faster and jepardise your lives and licences to earn bragging rights in ''the yard''.

 

no one is moaning FFS, i think you should find something a little more constructive to do with your sunday mornings. Reading into light hearted banter smacks of a hectic and fraught lifestyle...
