I won't ever be buying one of those.

The 2006 model is growing on me though.

The most popular model – the Impreza WRX saloon – gets a new 2.5 litre turbo engine among other improvements and costs £20,900 OTR – up £600 on today's price
I must have missed something, is this right?
2.5litre for the 2006 WRX & STi?

Show me a new car thats as bad as that.

At least everyone with an old Subaru can cash in on the demand for the older shapes....I can't see anyone wanting to use their own cash to buy that.

Concept car, prototype whatever u wanna call it blow it up there is no need for that sort of thing(2007 number).2006 number however not bad but it needs a tall spoiler to grab the attention it deserves.

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/55...evolution.html

The first paragraph tells a story....

"To avoid a backlash from outraged enthusiasts, Subaru still hasn't ruled out developing a saloon for the next-generation Impreza range"

That was published back in April though. Dunno if that particular story went anywhere just strayed across it looking for the pics of the Evo X concept to compare the two cars.

Don't mind the 2007 car from the INSIDE I must say. Outside though.....hmmmm

The B5 is truely hideous...

Looks like Mitsubishi will have a lot more sales - especially if they stick to the EVO X concept styling !

Actually your not far from the truth there, are you sitting comfortably….

The day it was designed it was 'bring your kids to work' day. You know what happened next. The guy who owns Subaru, well his kid drew a crap picture and everyone had to agree it was great for fear of reprisals. The next minute it was given the green light, here endth the story.

Looks like a futuristic Austin Princess, or Renault Fuego (sp?).

At least Bugeye owners will be relieved - there'll soon be an uglier Impreza than theirs.

People just don't read things fully nowadays...

...the new Subaru concept will be called a B5 when it arrives in production form.

Personally, I think Subaru have turned their styling around - IMO the MY06 is the best looking Impreza to-date. The B5 is a great looking car, although their colour scheme for the concept is totally inappropriate.

Agree about the MY06 being the best of the new age models - still think the P1 / Sti5 is the nicest Impreza of all tho...

But the B5 !! Does Homer Simpson head up the design team these days ???
