Default Strutbrace Question

Having just fitted my new strutbrace (That i bought of a menber here cheers Wanna ) i was wandering if anyone else noticed the diffrence. The steering feels sharper and a bit lighter, but i now have an annoying rattling sound that sound like it is coming from the front dash. Had a look and think it may be rubbing on the metal work right behind the TMIC. Also in my stupidity could not get the thing to fit at first so undid the rubber pipe on the passengers side directly behind the TMIC (anyone know what this pipe is for)and then connected it back up and the car now pulls alot better through the rev range, is that strange.

Anyway anyone with similar situation please let me know

The rattle could only be something which is able to move touching the brace eg the intercooler. Check the clearance and also the bolts holding the brace bar to the mounting plates?
