Serious Road Rage

Well as it says after 4 months of owning a pretty much un-modded MY01 WRX PPP I've just had some serious road rage for no reason.
Have just got back from the shops and was plodding along at just over 30 all the way and was tailed by some other car.
As its dark I wasn't about to stick the foot down just incase it was a cop car so I just stuck to the speed I was at. Anyway straight road ahead and this car overtakes at a bit of a slow pace (realised why - Rover MG) and the passenger puts half his body out the window and pulls the one finger/wan**r sign and a few others.
The reason....the hell if I know, can only presume they hate scoobs.

Nothing to do with what you are driving. I live in a village where the speed limit is 30 but when you do that speed you see them shouting/swearing/gesticulating etc.
Simple answer is they are moronic *****.

you did the right thing and acted like a man, ie you let it go over your head, well done fella.
I was in a queue of traffic the other day when some c**t in a Volvo pulled past 3 of us waiting and sauntered up the road, for a sec I wanted to be a pig, the next 10 secs I wanted to rip his head off, after that I calmed down and realised that people like that (Mr Volv0) are just born stupid and they will get there's eventually, trust me

Think I'm going to put a sign in my back window that lights up saying 'your cars **** - aaaah' for times like this.
Was driving the other day in a 40 zone in the rain, and there are about 3 speed cameras along this stretch so was sticking to 40 - prat in a 106 sat 2 inches from my back bumper all the way. The road changes to national speed limit further along, but is steeply up and downhill and very twisty with a few hidden hairpin turns, so stuck to around 50 ish mostly as I dont know the road that well, glanced in the rearview and nobber had vanished as they couldnt keep up ( and there arent any turnings on this stretch of road, so they must have been struggling at 30 to get up the hills ! ).
So what the hell was the point of them taligating me in a bl00dy 40 zone ? Did they go home and tell all their mates they kept up with an Impreza, and 'could have done me' ?
Were they hoping I'd increase my speed to 50 or 60, then slam my brakes on 200 yards later at the speed camera like some people do ?
Funnily enough, on the way back on the same road an hour later, got stuck behind a queue of traffic behind a couple of hearses going to a funeral at 20mph - people didnt drive straight up their *****, and constantly dodge out into the other lane to see if they could overtake....

LMAO reminds me of when i was coming off the motorway one time and i had a mercury grey rs turbo escort behind me although he was going down into the hard shoulder, then he went for it , in the hard shoulder! and when he got in front (finally, lol at the lack of pace to smoke ratio) he gave me the finger whilst he kept going, 30seconds later i behind him at the light on the bottom of the slip road hmm thats clever.
