Question 1000 mile service???

Hi All
I am just on 1000 miles on my new scooby. Have any of you had a service or an oil change at this mileage?
Thoughts please.
Cheers
Dave

You should be having one mate.
If it's a UK model then you get it for free and need it done to keep the warranty valid.
If it's an import then there is a slight difference in when it gets done IIRC as it will be logged in Km's and not miles in the service book but it still needs to be done to keep the warranty valid. You will have to pay a UK dealer to do it though.

It's basically an oil change and should not be too expensive - around £100 ish

It is a import - from Motorpoint - and I am still waiting for the warranty book!

There's several people on here that will be able to help you as they've bought from Motorpoint. I'm sure they'll post soon.

Due you know the country your car came from?

Had my MP Impreza STi serviced @ 1000m, then 3000m and next will be the 9000m. There was a post on here from a guy that recieved a letter from subaru confirming that the 3000m service is not required for warranty reasons. Had mine done though, as it was only £90 and feel that the cars worth it.

I wrote to subaru Liaco (Malta) via there web site and requested a service manual from them direct. They then sent it to MP who forwarded it onto myself the following week.

Have the service done, even without the service manual, the garage will be able to stamp it at a later date by checking through there records.

GOt a motorpoint malteser. 1000 mile needs done. Caused some trouble for some folks that have bought them and not known about it.

You'll get your book and what not from Liaco/Subaru Malta soon enough, then just get on the phone to Subaru UK and get the car registered with them to keep everything tip-top.
