If you are talking about the UK Turbo 2000 then only the 1998 special edition Terzo came in Sonic Blue. I have just sold no. 125!

However IIRC Europe, whose version of the Turbo 2000 was badged the GT, was available in sonic Blue for a few years so you could drop onto one of those as they are the same spec as the Turbo 2000 minus cat 1 alarm I think.

Otherwise your looking at the P1, 22b or a jap import STI.

Saw a Belgian (spoke to the guy - who got it from Belgum) import in Sonic Blue at my local dealership going in for its first service back in 2000.

The european one that are 74F are called San Remo Blue and not sonic blue! but apparently it is the same colour code.

No idea where the sonic blue title came from.

Mica Red is a stunning colour IMHO. I'm not sure if I prefer it to Sonic Blue (like mine ) buts its a very close 2nd.

Theres a lovely Mica Red MY00 for sale in that section now. They also seem quite rare. If you really want Sonic Blue just hold out for one, they do come up. When this was last asekd I found an EU Sonic Blue car on Autotrader. EU and UK cars will be the same now, few difference when new but nothing in it now.

the only thing i think will affect the insurance will be the lack of the CAT 1 alarm, but then anyone owning one of these would be very silly not to fit one anyway

Then i think it will be down to the usual stuff like what mods has it got

I have a Euro Import MY2000 W-Reg in Sonic Blue (Or at least paint code 74F which is the same thing)

I am thinking seriously about selling it in November. Its only done 38,000 miles with full service history etc.

Its quite standard except a P1 stainless exhaust (original part), Blitz SUS LM Air Filter, Bailey Dump Valve and clear repeaters / front indicators. Also has Kenwood ICE with 10 disc changer. Clifford Alarm and Tracker.

Still debating over what to do with it.

Yes its identical.

As for price, im not sure yet. As I said I am seriously thinking about selling but not 100% yet.

I bought it in April (3 owners including me) and I paid £9200. I then fitted the Tracker at £500 and have spent about £300 on the exhaust / air filter etc. So all in all it owes me £10000. However I am not daft enough to think that I will get that for it!!

Its the second one I have owned and it is in mint condition. Done about 4000 miles since I have had it and sits at the top of the drive most of the week.

Looking at prices on here and Autotrader I would hope to get about £8500 for it, as there arent many spotless classics with such low mileage. I am also in the fortunate position of not having to sell it, so I can hang on into next year. I just want a S2 Elise for next summer!!! (Dont all laugh at once!!)

I can email you some pics if you want?

Here are two different sonic blue classics.

On the left is a UK Terzo and on the right a Japanese type R.

They are different types of scooby made in the same year. I could give you a huge list of differences, but colourwise they are the same.

I guess you missed the line which said Terzo and Type R.

Thanks for that but you misunderstood what I meant!!! I was referring purely to the colour! I thought you were saying they were both Sonic Blue but were still different shades of colour as one is a UK and one a Jap.

Working for Scoobyworld and having owned a Terzo up until recently I would hope I knew the differences between a Terzo and a Type R!!!!!!!! LOL!! :-)

I don't know if its actually a fact or maybe one car has been out in the sun longer than another but there does seem to be evidence that there is more than one shade of Sonic Blue on these cars.

I could swear most P1s seem to have darker colour than mine. And I've seen 555STI RAs that seem a little lighter.

I asked Halfords to make up a pot of 74F to touch up a few things and from a distance it was pretty good but up close its darker.
